Last summer, Kirk and I decided
to get married this winter in Hawaii.
We wanted a small, quiet wedding in a beautiful place.
My obsession with the warm ocean, soothing smells, and
lovely sights of Hawaii made it an easy decision.
Though our church's
wedding-beauty rating is among the highest in the city, getting
married in view of rows and rows of empty pews did not feel very
warm at all!

Scheduling the whole trip around United's
Mileage Plus Award availablity, we settled on December 5th. I began looking for a person to wed us. A quick search at www.dogpile.com
linked us to the Reverend Captain Howie, Above
Heaven's Gate - Not Affiliated with the Cult.
A quick read of the site and I knew he was the one.
As planning continued, more family members
expressed an interest in attending.
Soon, to our honor and surprise, we discovered our entire
immediate family, except for Nathan, would be able to attend.
Dorli's travel agent did a great job finding accommodations
in Waikiki for everyone.
